Career or Family? An Easy Choice
Our daughter was named a co-captain of her high school varsity soccer team in July 2022. She had played soccer since she was 4, and was both talented and experienced. Her new high school’s girls’ soccer team wasn’t very good the prior year, but she loved playing on it. We were proud of her and looking forward to her senior season in spring 2023.
When she asked me if I could stay in Georgia for her senior year, I said I wasn’t sure. That was a long time to be away from Ball’s Colorado office, especially with employees beginning to return to our buildings (even if it was a hybrid return, 3 days a week). So Marin said, what about just for the soccer season and graduation – February to May 2023? I said thanks for compromising, that should be fine – I just had to run it by my boss.
