Saving for Your Future Begins With A Choice- Fight Me
Saving money is a mindset. And most Americans don’t save nearly enough to become financial independent, or even retire. Why?
The lament that “financial literacy” isn’t taught today may be true – but it also is an excuse. We have access to more free information on financial literacy today than at any point in human history. Don’t know what to do? Google it.
As for life being more expensive today, well, sure. Yes, it is more expensive. And it was more expensive in the 2000s than in the 1980s, and in the 1980s than in the 1960s. It’s *always” more expensive.
Now, housing today is unusually expensive due to COVID and its lingering impacts. But it will correct. Some say that process has already started. And the truth is, if you look at housing affordability, it was worse than today in 2008 (the housing bubble just before the crash) and 1984 (mortgage rates nearly reached 14%).
