Googling Your Way to Business Success

I hadn’t planned on starting my own business. I hadn’t planned on much of anything only three months after leaving Ball.

But when a former Ball executive reached out to me in February 2023 to discuss a communications consulting opportunity, there was no way I was going to say no.

First, I had always liked working with him when we were both at Ball. He had vision, and knew what he wanted. When our ideas weren’t always the same, I often found his ideas were good ones. We worked well together.

Second, the project he offered, which remains under an NDA, was right in my wheelhouse. It was an opportunity to apply my experience and skills to the sort of comms challenge I had done in the past, but in a new environment with a leader who listened.

I was excited. Barely four months after leaving my career, I had a paying gig doing what I loved!
