#59: "Da Plane! Da Plane!" (Part 2)
Tales from the Road
Who doesn’t like quirky travel stories? Here are a few more peeks at life on the road on a Ball jet.
Operations Time
The thing about plant operations people is, if you’re on time – you’re late.
When you are in operations, your job is to be ready before the deadline. Corporate types can be “on time” if they want. When they arrive, you will already be there.
That’s operations time.
So when our North American exec team visited Ball’s Williamsburg, VA, plant around 2014 and agreed to leave at 8 a.m. the next morning for the local airport, everyone - including the savvy corporate types who understood “operations time” - was gathered in the hotel lobby and ready to go at 7:45 a.m.
Well, almost everyone.
