With my 34^th substack article, let me proudly remove all doubt.

I’m a writer. Pretty much my entire career has revolved around writing, of one kind of another.

This substack is my return to storytelling.

A fellow STH volunteer made this sign for me, and it now hangs in our home. Learning about and caring for horses, donkeys, goats, pigs and other animals has become an important part of my new “something else.”

I don’t mean “storytelling” as in fiction. Everything I write happened, and to the best of my memory, happened the way I describe it.

I mean “storytelling” as in giving you the experience of being there (including peeking behind the curtain at times), or learning lessons as I did.
